Love In The Stars is a collection created during the middle of the global COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, as many around the world, I had been subject to many life changes which were unexpected and overwhelming. Separated from family and friends, I began to create this collection using pieces I had cut with the intention to create pieces for those I loved. In the process, creating became a way for me to express love for myself in the form of self care as well as for others by surprising them with pieces in the mail.
The name Love In The Stars is in reference to feel star-crossed during this difficult time. Unable to have previous freedoms, this collection was an investigation into expressions of love, support and care when separated by distance. Not unlike stars which shine from afar but never falter in their light.
